Description:

1960 Ford Thunderbird

An easy to finish Project Car. Needs some finishing up to make it a great Tbird, I intended on getting it back to good condition but at 80 y/o I have too many projects.
This 1960 Tbird was part of a classic car collection that got caught in the big Katrina hurricane. The car was valued at that time at $22000. It had water up to the rocker panels, the car itself was not flooded, water never entered the interior. the insurance company salvaged it out.The person who bought "repaired" the rockers but not correctl, the interior was completely replaced. Has brand new 16" Thunderbird styled steering whee, the 18" 'bus-driver" steering wheel will come with the car. Has factory A/C, the compressor spins but will need a recharge, PS, PB, has the 352 300 HP engine with new Edelbrock AVS 4 bbl carb. The OEM 4100 carb, valve covers and air cleaner come with the car, they were replaced by chrome valve covers and air cleaner. New generator and voltage regulator, new cap, roto, plugs, NOS yellow top coil, plug wires., new battery and cables, engine and radiator were flushed. Has the HD radiator and fan, new radiator hoses and 160 degree thermostat. starts, runs and drives OK, no smoke, or knocks. Brand new Cooker H78 wide white wall tires costing $1200.00, instruments all wor, clock works Someone scraped the passenger side spear, very easy repair.
The rocker panels and front of hood lip will need repairs or drive "as-is".
The heater is disconnected, I dont know if its because the car was in Florida and they didint need it or it has a problem
good exhaust, wiper motor works, brake light, turn signals etc all work but needs to be held in position, the shift lever is "sloppy" and needs the rubber bushings replaced to make it tight.. Has a Salvage Title, the car while in the Florida collection was not driven for many years, asking only $7950.00 Make an offer, come see and drive it, call or text Dean 505-414-0617
