Description:

1959 Porsche 356

Do you ever notice how few 356a cars are offered to the open market? Most people sell their 356BT6s first and then, there 356B T5s and, and next, their 356Cs. Their 356a's, on the other hand, are traded among collectors and often times never reach the public offering stage.

That being said, this may be the affordable A Coupe, you are looking for.

Presenting a 1959 356a with rebuilt engine (less than 100 miles on it), 741 transaxle (less than 100 miles on it), redone brakes, including new lines, hoses, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, along with relined/reconditioned brake drums and backplates as well as new hardware.

This is not a cosmetically restored car, by any means, but clean on the bottom where no dirt, grease, grime is falling on your face while you work on it. Originally, Ivory, now Red with black interior.

As stated earlier, it has had all of its integral systems rebuilt.

-A fully rebuilt engine using a healthy 1959 block by a master engine builder out of Ohio.

-A fully rebuilt 741 transaxle (though it didn't need much) by Wills Werks in Northern Virginia.

-Relined/reconditioned brake drums and back plates and new-everything-else brake wise.

-new shocks, new tires, new wheels, new lug nuts, new steering stabilizer.

-nice super hubcaps.

-clean repainted tank, new petcock, new fuel hosing, new carpeting. good headliner, upholstery and visors.

Drive now and/or restore cosmetically.

When I drive it, it turns heads, everywhere.

This is a personal car from my collection. It registered in my name and has a clear title in my name. Mileage on car is unknown, but the odometer's reading is recorded above. I am happy to work with an overseas buyer who can communicate in English. Cash, personal check, bank check, or wire must clear/settle before car leaves. I can store for a month with free, after which a $20/day storage fee will apply. Buyer has responsibility to insure car after paying for it as I cannot be responsible if, for instance, a tree falls on it, etc, or say, a storage facility burns down. It will not be driven after payment except on to the trailer when the towing company which buyer hires picks the car up.I am selling the car to make room inside for other vehicles.A $2500 non refundable deposit is due via zelle (no fee) or wire (add $16) upon auction end. I will add a photo of the engine this week.
