Description:

1964 Chevrolet C-10

1964 Chevy C10 step side short box powered with a Chevy fuel injected R code L31 5.7 350 Vortec engine. The fuel injection system and 4L80E heavy duty 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission controls are done with the original GM computer and sensors. HotrodHarness have a great wiring harness to adapt the Vortec to any hot rod. The harness has a check engine light and a On-Board Diagnostics port to monitor information on the computer control. The Vortec has been upgraded with a new AC Delco Multi port fuel injection spider which replaced the old central port fuel injection. The engine starts, runs and preforms very well with the new Multi port injection . The transmission was inspected and the fluid and filter were changed no wear was noticed. The running gear has new tie rod ends, upper and lower ball joints and upper and lower control arm shafts, front end alignment. The rear axle assembly was inspected and found to be unserviceable and a replacement unit with 3.73 gears was installed along with new rear axle seals and gasket. The front wheels have new bearings and seals as well. Power steering,Power brakes, master cylinder New wheel cylinders, brake shoes and hoses. New heater core and blower motor. A complete new air conditioning system ( compressor, evaporator and condenser) were also installed. New Alternator,Battery, fuel pump. 4 new tires. The truck rides on air suspension and has DOT grade tubing and MIP fittings. The air ride system does not leak. 3 core Aluminum radiator with cooling fans from a Z-28. Truck bed is done with red oak and three coats of automotive clear applied. Digital dash with a speedometer that receives a GPS signal to record speed and miles. New turn signal switch,Windshield and L. glass were replaced along with new glass gaskets and vent window rubber. All door Window channel was replaced and the window regulators were removed cleaned and lubricated. Firewall has new insulation and floor mat installed. Seat belt and shoulder harness were installed. Really nice Alpine Cassette radio. The truck is a Faux of a 60's Bonneville push start truck. The truck sat abandon on a Texas ranch for 27 years with the windows left rolled down so ever time it rained or snowed it got wet inside. The truck was not rust free. Some floor was replaced along with inner and outer rockers. The cab supports were pretty good but since I had the floor out I replaced the front supports and capped the rear ones. Both doors had rust in the corners as well. Lower rear part of both front fenders was also replaced. . $22K is a lot of money but it is a lot of truck. I would encourage you to hire a appraiser to look at the truck if you are interested in it. This Street Rod runs and drives so well your Grandmother could drive it. I would consider driving it to the buyer for expenses and a plane ticket home. Truck is for sale locally as well.
