1987 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

Up for NO RESERVE auction is my 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300E (W124 chassis, 3 Liter V6 M103 engine), in Diamond Blue with Navy Blue interior,WDBEA30D7HA516352.

Here's the short description:

• ~139,000 miles, looks great, runs great, NO warning lights, working heat, AC converted to r134a but untested.

• Very clean and original inside and out - original paint still shines, no serious rust (see pics), no dash cracks, refinished wood on center console, MB Tex seats are in very good condition.

• Kenwood AM/FM/CD with AUX input works well.

• Lots of recent maintenance including oil change, distributor cap & rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires,OVP relay,serpentine belt, AC/heater blower motor and relay.

If you are within ~100 miles of Frederick, Maryland, I can deliver the car for a nominal fee. Or Fly In / Drive Home - If you want to pick up the car in-person, I can deliver the car to any of the Baltimore/DC-area airports (BWI, IAD, DCA, HGR) for the cost of my Uber fare home (about $100).

Issues:

The car starts, runs, and drives well, but that said it is 30-years-old and has a few minor issues.

• No structural rust, but there are two small rust spots that have been sanded and touched up, both on drivers side, one near the rear window and one on the rear wheel arch (see pics).

• There are a couple of scratches on the trunk lid (see pics)

• The AC system has been converted to r134a. I tried testing it but compressor did not engage - that might be because it's too cold (daytime highs in the 40s), or it might need a charge. New blower motor and controller, so heat works just fine.

• Both passenger-side windows not working (stuck in up position) - they both likely need new motors. The drivers-side windows and sunroof do work fine.

• Power antenna stuck in up position but radio reception is still good.

Conditions of Sale:

• Within 24 hours of auction close, the winning bidder is required to make a $250 deposit via PayPal.

• Have your financing in order prior to bidding!The winning bidder must pay the balance due in cash or by wire transfer within 7 days of the auction close and prior to taking possession of the car.

• The winning bidder must pick up the car within 20 days of the auction close - it's stored in my home garage and I need the space! If you do not pick up the car within 20 days, I may have to store the car off-site and reserve the right to charged $30 per day for storage.

• Fly In / Drive Home - If you want to pick up the car in-person, I can deliver the car to any of the Baltimore/DC-area airports (BWI, IAD, DCA, HGR) for the cost of my Uber fare home (about $100).

• If you need to ship the car, I suggest you check eBay's link to uShip shipping brokers. I will assist in shipping by making myself available when the car is picked up. If you are within about 100 miles of Frederick, Maryland, I can deliver the car for a nominal fee. Also, check with shippers for "terminal-to-terminal" service - this is usually much cheaper than door-to-door shipping, and there are several terminals in DC/Baltimore/Northern Virginia that are close by.
