1979 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Vehicle Details

This vehicle was purchased new by my mother in 1979 in Santa Barbara CA. She drove it daily until the early 1990's when she bought a new car. From that time it was only driven intermittently until 2015. From that time the vehicle was not used due to my mother not renewing her drivers license. The registration lapsed. It has since been registered in California and passed smog testing. The car is in original condition. It has not been repainted, restored or rebuilt. It has not been involved in any crashes. It has the original tonneau cover for the top (see photo). The stereo is after market and the speakers are missing/broken. The clock does not work. The top is in good condition and there are newer tires on the car. It has just been serviced. The upholstery is in good condition with the exception of a tear in the driver seat (see photo). The Volkswagen name piece has come off it's mounting (see photo). The car runs well and is fun to drive. There is some surface rust on the body and wheels and some rust on the floor pans but no holes or rust-through. It has been serviced by The Engine Company, Santa Barbara since 2014. I have some recent service records.
