Soft Top VW Thing with rebuilt engine needs body work to complete

1974 Volkswagen Thing

This VW was disassembled for body work needed on the rocker panels, sections are deteriorated by rust, they will require metal welding / fabrication or replacement; see photos. The floor pans are fair and have small repairable holes. This Thing has regular Beetle type heater tubes off the exhaust manifolds (NOT the gas heater type). Everything is there and complete to restore. Any parts that are not seen in the photos are in boxes; side windows are faded and convertible top frame is solid. The canvas was removed because of deterioration. I don't know the actual mileage on this car. message me with any questions. If you would like more pics let me know. I can deliver it to you up to 200 miles at $.40 a mile. It also has a 5 point roll cage and a tow bar.
Thank youUPDATE: on 4-10-20 I assembled the car for transporting. Now the engine is in and the fenders, bumpers, top, windshield, steering column and trunk lid are on. Nothing is wired up and this is a project. The brakes and engine are in great condition.
