1988 Porsche 928 S4

Vehicle Details

Really nice 1988 Porsche 928S4. Recently purchased with the plan to fix up and sell. I have done the following since I purchased it. -Cleaned up and sent for inspection at Midas and it passed on first inspection.

-Took to Big O tires and had all tires balanced and complete alignment done.

-Currently with my Euro Mechanic and has had the Flex Plate inspection and everything looks good.

-Changed oil/filter to the proper grade recommended by 928 enthusiasts (20-50 High Zinc)

Previous owner had the car over 10 years and did quite a bit of work in the last 12 months and I was told it has new high grade fuel injectors and basically everything new under the manifold. It currently starts up fine and runs fine but takes a minute or so to warm up before it will idle at the appropriate RPM (requires just a bit of pedal to keep the rpm up for the first few seconds). My mechanic is working on this as I believe it is likely just something that wasn’t put back correct on the manifold rebuild.

Overall my assessment of this car is that it is a solid example of the 928S4 that could continue to be used as a daily driver or complete restoration for the collector. My plans if not sold include a new paint job and probably a new X over exhaust. The interior is in pretty good shape overall with the usual dash cracks on the top (replacement top covers are relatively inexpensive). Drivers seat has a couple tears from general wear. Back seat pics were prior to conditioning. I have done some leather cleaning and treating and they are looking better. Original Blaupunkt radio works well but is a little “scratchy” when you turn the volume. I believe a little cleaning of the knob will take care of that. Keep in mind that this as a classic car and will need various little things to bring it to “Car Show Quality”. I don’t have to sell but have some commercial building projects on properties that I own that are requiring more funding than I had anticipated so I am selling a few toys. I accept a few different payment forms, including Zelle, Bank Wire, Cashiers check and of course cash. My loss is your gain….don’t miss this chance to buy the iconic car of the 1980’s!
