Description:

1969 Plymouth Barracuda Notchback

69 Plymouth barracuda. I bought it on Ebay 5 years ago from Plano TX as an original car except the white vinyl interior. It's been in amarillo since. Originally a 318 car with factory air and power steering. It has a crate engine from jegs installed in 2015, 360 LA block with iron magnum heads, bored and stroked to 408 ci. 727 transmission from summit racing (TCI). 2800 stall converter. 8 3/4 suregrip rear with 742 case, 3.55 gears (new in 2015). Powder coated rear differential. Installed disk brakes at this time on front and rear, drilled and slotted rotors and 2" drop spindles on the front. New tubular upper control arms. New tie rod ends and ball joints, upper and lower. Doug's long tube headers, Holley 750 carb, .490/.280 camshaft. Magnum heads fitted on LA block. Edelbock air gap intake. No leaks at all on engine or transmission. Carter electric fuel pump. Hid headlights. The coolant jug is used as an overflow reservoir. The air conditioner works great but I removed the condenser after finding a leak. I don't have a new one for it. It will need to be replaced and recharged. Ridler 18" wheels in rear and 17" in front with nitto tires. There is some rust in the front floorboard area, and the inner fenders around cowl area (see pics of engine compartment). The primer spots on the hood are from me, when I was installing the engine it jumped into reverse while idling with hood open and garage door half way closed. It chipped the paint. The trunk is rust free. The frame is very clean with no rust at all. Original am radio is included but not installed. Original 318 and 904 transmission I still have too and they ran great when pulled and stored in dry shop. Car runs great and has an estimated 400 horsepower and 490 ft lbs torque. Interior is dusty when took pics, but it's in very good shape. Dash has one crack in the middle. All factory gauges work except the speedometer. Probably a cable. The engine temp is run to an aftermarket gauge.
