1970 Ford Torino Cobra N-Code 429 4spd True Survivor1 of 1,673 N-Code 429 4spd Cobra's made in 1970
View the Marti report to see how stripped this car came from the factory
I got it from the 2nd owner who had it 49yrs (he bought it from the original owner in 1974)
Still has the original ignition, door and trunks keys
Car was purposely painted the way that it looks in the mid-70's to get more street races.
Car was drag raced extensively at Harrison County Drag strip and Ohio Valley Drag Strip.
Still retains the Mr. Gasket Traction bars, a one inch block in the front right coil spring to help launches.Power steering was added by the dealership per the original owners request.
Not number matching: Original engine was replaced in 1976, the transmission was replaced in 1979Has a correct 1970 N Code 429 and top loader
the car runs, drives, stops, charges, power steering works, shifts
I drive the car around the block regularly
Car can be driven onto or into a trailer for transport
Tires are dry rotted but hold air
Head lights, tail lights, brake lights, interior dash lights work, Horn works
Hays HD clutch installed in the late 70's
ignition switch reverse lockout still work
Minimal Mechanic refresh performed
Engine oil changedNew water pumpNew Aluminum Radiator with linesNew AlternatorDemon 750 mechanical secondary carb.HEI distributor, new plugs and wires
Sadly the hooker headers did not survive the times and the engine now has C9VE exhaust manifolds with factory replacement h-pipe and 2chamber dynomax mufflers, sounds amazing
New brake master cylinder, all 3 flexible rubber brake lines, both front wheel cylinders replaced
**Front-end needs to be rebuilt the ball joints are shot!
Probably one of your last chances to get a big block 4spd survivor that runs and drives on the cheap. This car has a much cooler street racing history than the Black Ghost b.s
**the knock in the video is the replacement carter mechanical fuel pump. I ended up with a loud one
