1991 Volvo 240

This manual transmission 1991 Volvo 240 wagon has been owned by the seller since 2012. It has not been modified. The car has the original exterior paint which is in excellent condition, original roof rack and original Volvo trailer hitch mount. The odometer is working and the mileage is 195,050, of which approximately 22,000 the current owner has driven - for pleasure and weekend trips. Complete with 100,000 emblem on front, ready for the 200,000 to be affixed by new owner. Owner is losing parking spot, so must part with the vehicle.

This Volvo 240 wagon features a clean cloth interior, the original third row rear-facing seat, both (no cracks) lower front blue door panels, original working Volvo stereo system (note the rear speakers have been replaced with JBL speakers, also note it is unknown if the cassette player works); original blue winter/all weather mats; two regular (one original Volvo, one copy) and one valet keys with working/locking glove compartment. The original blue vinyl seats were replaced with black cloth Volvo 240 seats in 2012, at which time the driver’s seat foam was replaced (it does not sag).

New Falken Pro G5 Touring tires were installed in April 2023, with national Discount Tire warranty that will transfer to new owner.

Other mechanical work (receipts available), since 2021 includes:

• replaced oxygen sensor with Bosch unit;
• replaced control unit;
• repaired fuel level sensor;
• replaced fuel tank sending unit;
• replaced fuel pump;
• replaced fuel hose;
• replaced locking ring;
• replaced gravel shield;
• replaced alternator (refurbished Bosch);
• replaced front and back muffler;
• replaced catalytic converter;
• new battery;
• oil change;
• new front and rear brake calipers, rotors and pads;
• new radiator;
• replaced wiper motor
• heater core bypass valve installed.

Air conditioning works and has been converted to R-134a, and cleared pressure test in October 2022.

Recent restoration work conducted by Swedish Car Parts includes repairing and repainting rocker panels, repairing spare tire well, repairing area around drivers rear tail light.

Known issues:

• Cruise control does not work;
• Lights above console area are not working;
• Cracks in dashboard
• The heater core needs replacement to deliver heat (if only driven in warmer climates, this is not an issue and simply means the valve needs to be turned off). Note: if replacing the heater core, a new dashboard cover can be installed at same time, and also address lights in the center console;
• Front passenger glass replaced with PPG;
• Windshield replaced with Piikington Sweden 96;
• Front seats not heated but have switches;
• Plastic on right side behind rear seat is cracked;
• Two small dents in front right fender, one small dent on top of rear gate, two small bumps on hood, dent below right headlight on chrome trim;
• Left rear taillight and passenger headlight are replaced with aftermarket lights (will include the chipped OEM taillight);
• Chip on dash trim to left of glove box;
• Rear washer fluid flow is sporadic (air hose clears the problem);
• Rear gate light switch does not turn on rear light;
• Driver’s door light switch is sporadic;
• When purchased in 2012 the 2000 minor collision was not known. Swedish Car Parts assures there is no structural damage present.
