Up for sale is an extremely rare Mercury Cougar XR7 J Code 4 Speed manual transmission with factory 302 4BBL. This vehicle is 1 of 497 ever produced in 1968. It has a brand new gas tank and fuel pump which our mechanic installed just to get it running. It does turn on and move and brake steer etc., but it will need to be completely restored has been sitting for the past 15 plus years . Surprisingly the body is in excellent condition. All doors open and close excellent. Hood and trunk open and close excellent. All windows go up and down. A very complete project car with great bones. The hood has some rust which may need to be replaced, Floor pans will need to be replaced. and two more areas of concern by rear quarter window and rear window and around trunk area besides that very solid. Windshield is cracked. Tons of extra parts and trim pieces new and used included. Has the higher HP 302 4 BBL engine which is the more desired. Headliner is hanging front 2 seats ripped rear seat in excellent shape. Rest can be seen in video and pics. Over all a very solid and complete cougar.
