Description:

1978 MG MGB

1978 MG MGB.
This is what I Emagin a MGB would look like in 1990. It still looks like a MGB but up graded. kind of like a Porsche, no matter the year you can still see it a Porsch.
Mods: The outside moldings have been removed and the holes filled. The front bumper has been replaced with a fiberglass unit, and the rear bumper has been replaced with fiberglass that is panned to the body.
This car comes with two tops a hard and soft top, the soft top has a zip out rear window. the hard top has custom ghost stripes.
The paint color is Lexus tan metallic with a red pearl stripe where the moldings used to be.
Under the hood: The engine is a stock 1.8l with only 1800 miles from refresh. It has two rebuilt SU carbs, the ignition was upgraded to a Mallory unilite electronic distributor, the Lucus wiring has been replaced with aftermarket modern wiring front to rear.
Interior: The dash was stripped down to the base then covered with oak laminate then overlade with walnut burl veneer, the floors have been replaced. the door panels are covered with Faux Emu skin. the dash has a modern radio with blue tooth and hands-free phone.
The suspension and steering bushing were replaced. the rear shocks were changed to the gas type.
This car is not a trailer queen, it is a driver. I have made 150-mile round trip cruises with it. it does have road chips, it's not a perfect car, however, it is a head turner. people that dont know MGs want to know what it is. Contact with any questions.
