Description:
1976 Mercedes-Benz Other
1976 Unimog 404.013 double cab (Doka). carburetors 125 HP motor, power steering, hydraulic clutch, on board air & air boosted hydraulic brakes, front PTO and the larger more comfortable cab shared with the 416 / 406 trucks. The majority of the drive train parts are the same as the more common open cab 404.1I had the truck imported from Germany 10 years ago. The truck is in good unrestored condition for a 40 year old truck. The truck has very little rust, mostly just minor surface spots that were treated. The pictures best describe the condition of the truck.
I have all ways stored the truck indoors when not being used. I have had little time to use the truck the last 4 years. Having sat unused 4 years now since last used at the 2012 NW Mogfest ( there is video online line I believe). Its time let go of it and let someone else enjoy or restore it.
The truck was fully serviced 10 years ago and had always been a good runner driver prior to long term storage. The truck got for new MPT 80 tires 5 years ago also. Currently the truck runs and drives, and all the electrics are working. But after sitting 4 years the gas has gotten old and I believe it has clogged up the carburetor jets and or float valves or may have a bad carburetor float. The truck idles fine, but back fires on acceleration from part throttle. Which is why I believe it has a plugged jet etc, leading to a lean burn back fire. Prior to long term storage the truck ran and drove fine. The clutch, transmission, brakes, and lockers where all in good working condition with no issues.
The truck comes with 2 new carb kits, floats, fuel filter for the new owner to clean up the fuel system. It already has a Pertronix electronic ignition
The truck comes with a fairly complete set of new cab restoration rubber parts. Door seals, dash pad, door window rubber including wing windows. Manual set and Unimog EPC (electronic parts catalog). New brake flex hoses, and a variety of small parts that can been seen in the pictures. The factory tool kit tools, Jack, chains, and on board parts kit are included also. The heater has been re-cored / rebuilt but is not installed and can be seen in the blue tub.
