1992 Lincoln Mark VII Bill Blass Edition
Viva Las Vegas Autos Presents . . .
An incredible story of a car that was loved and adored. There are so many cars on the roads these days that have two doors or more, four wheels and tires, an engine or a motor of some sort and probably a vast majority of those cars are simply just transportation for their owners. Nothing special, sometimes an annoyance when they breakdown and most of the time discarded when they've gotten so used that they are just considered "Used Upâ€. Well, NONE of ABOVE applies here...except for the consideration of the basic fact that THIS is a car. For those like me that have a long history with automobiles, thirty plus years' worth, this particular car is a very special automobile in my mind. Back in February of 1988, I made my debut into the car business and started my career at a Lincoln Mercury dealer in Salt Lake City, Utah. I quickly loved the L-M line up of automobiles and my personal favorite was the Mark VII, the Base model, the LSC and the Special Edition versions like this Bill Blass Designer edition. With the performance 5.0L High Output V8 and all the luxury features known to Lincoln back in the day, I loved selling these Mark VIIs. Their buyers were just as unique. Always wealthy, always driven by passion in their choice of autos; buying the Mark VII was always very personal to those buyers. The purpose for them to buy this hotrod Lincoln was to make a statement with authority. They wanted American Class and Luxury, but had to have the performance side and the sporty style that was unique for the day. Cadillac Eldorado did not hold a candle to this car and these buyers knew it. This particular 1992 Lincoln Mark VII Bill Blass Edition was rare as it gets too. The LSC or sportier version as far as looks go, were plentiful. At the dealership I worked at, one designer edition to every twenty LSC would ever grace the lot. When it did land, if it wasn't already special ordered, it was sold instantly to the Lincoln buyer that wanted his Mark VII to feel more like the Town Car Cartier that was on the other side of the garage. The contoured sport seats of the LSC just didn't feel right to that buyer. Now I know that you're reading this because you probably want a piece of this Lincoln Mark VII history in your collection. Well, I am with you there. When I saw this car listed at my specialty auction a few weeks ago, I about lost my mind. Yes, I have seen several Mark VIIs over the last 16 years I've owned my specialty car dealership. Several meaning, several junk turds with high miles and beat interiors and lying flat on the ground with blow air bags. Never have I seen a single seventh generation late version (Lincoln vs. Continental) last year model (1992) ever come up for sale that looked this good or had this low of miles and to top that off with it being a special designer series Bill Blass Edition. Yes, there was no question in my simple mind other than to bring this stunning ride back to my shop. And here it is in all of its original unmatched glory.
Viva Las Vegas Autos Known History . . .
The basically very little documented history sad to say. I don't get a lot of information from the specialty auctions I go to. The only information I can get may come from what I find in the car, its condition this is unchanged from the owner who sold the car off to Carmax in Henderson, the specialty auction I attend every week and the Carfax and AutoCheck reports I can find history from that are usually a great insight. Let's start at the beginning, I find this car on my list and I see a few pictures online. The car looks incredible from what I can see. The miles are confirmed to be original and ridiculously low for the year and an enormous bonus, the car shows as a ONE OWNER! Ok, I haven't even seen the car yet other than pictures and I am already drooling. Are you kidding? One Owner and 44,000 original miles? My God, Save me now! And He did! I woke up alive the morning of the auction and held my hand high until I owned the car. I don't want to make that sound like I paid the freaking moon for the car and neither will you unless someone with a bigger ego puts your wallet to the test. That all said, the original owner WHO LOVED THIS CAR... bought it in Detroit, Michigan back in November 5th, 1991 and by 1999 showed up in Henderson Nevada with only 7,259 miles in February of that year. By February of 2000 they had a whopping 12,455 miles on the car when it passed another state inspection here. Then 13,430 miles on January 22, 2001 seen at another state inspection and registration. 18,847 original miles on January 12, 2002. 19,996 on January 10, 2003. 21,079 on January 20, 2004. Are you seeing the writing on the wall here? The car was being driven, although not a lot, but it was driven. On January 21, 2005 it showed 21,823. On January 8th, 2006 22,270 miles. I am not certain here, but I will step out on a limb and say the "church was on the same block that its owner lived onâ€...OK, I said it. Moving on now. On January 10th, 2007 our owner decided to go to a Midas center and get a bunch of work done on the car with 26,734 miles. They drove a ton that year and the car probably felt the stress of all that driving. They completed a maintenance inspection, lubed and replaced the filter, replaced the tie rod ends, checked all the remaining fluids and inspected the steering and suspension. The following couple months, they took a vacation to Denny's several times and then ended up back at the Midas Center on April 16, 2007 with 28,241 miles and having Midas check all the cars' electrical systems including the battery. The following year was over the top for these owners who loved their baby. With having traveled to church and to Dennys several times more than they should have, these owners found themselves back at the Midas Center here in Henderson where they had the long block replaced at 35,482 miles on July 12th, 2008. Their poor sweet Mark VII had just been pushed too far after such an easy life; 7000 miles in just one year as compared to 200-1000 miles per year in the past. Well needless to say from there forward, our same original owners loved their baby Lincoln and went back to pampering it in the garage from then on until the day I bought it. 40,423 miles recorded on May 21, 2014. 42,949 miles recorded on May 21st, 2015. 43,624 miles recorded by the State of Nevada on May 23rd, 2016. And lastly, 44,069 miles recorded on July 3rd, 2017. On July 4th, 2017 they celebrated their wonderful Hotrod Lincoln by taking it to Big O Tires in Henderson and getting a fresh lube, oil and filter that day before watching the Fireworks that night. I am not sure what the miles were that day, but almost a year later I bought this incredible car with just over 200 more miles on it from that point in time. Why is this, such a story? BECAUSE it truly IS! One Owner, maybe an older couple, (I assume, the back seat looks unused) Maybe a single guy (sorry gals, but I don't see too many women putting CB units in the Lincoln Mark VIIs. But one thing is for certain, the owner of this car paid special attention to its upkeep, its details, and overall appearance. And from the looks of it, the small blemish on the passenger rear quarter near the parking lamp looks pretty dang fresh. I wonder if that was when our loving owner decided the relationship was over. All questions and assumptions aside, I really think I know who this owner was. The owner loved this car dearly and after I bought it, drove it out to my shop and found that it drove incredibly well and fully functional with ice cold air conditioning, I can say unequivocally, this Lincoln Mark VII Bill Blass Designer Edition is probably a true one of a kind and probably ever seeing one like it will be another lifetime for me or you, its possible next owner.
Viva Las Vegas Autos Preparations . . .
We detailed the car, decided the Michelin tires from 2002 where way too old to stay on the car even though they had plenty of tread. We replaced them and enjoyed driving on soft new tires then took pictures and listed it on here on eBay. We also did a thorough inspection of the car top to bottom finding basic seepage on items like the valve covers but no leaks that hit the ground. I thought about going through the car and making it flawless everywhere including having the rear quarter fixed, but then I came to my senses. This 1992 Lincoln Mark VII Bill Blass is ridiculously original. So many items on this car are as they came from the factory. Fuses, lines and paper tags that were from the factory inspectors as the car rolled off the assembly line, and no way did I want to see them gone or removed to change out the valve cover seals that just weren't that bad.I want to see this great car live out its days of glory in someone's collection where, like me, they can brag of its great character and originality. So if that's your thoughts too, Bid or call me with an insightful offer to put this car in your collection. Please don't be one of those "eBay Fishers" that just send me that awful dumb and annoying question of "What's your reserve? What's your bottom line? What's the lowest you'll take?" Those questions worded in the eighteen thousand different ways I've heard them are so stupid! It's NOT about what I want you to pay at all. It's about what I want to see take place. I want a buyer who really wants this car and pulls an intelligent offer out of their wallet and calls me with it...or bids...and I get to reward that intelligent buyer with a great big fat YES! You get to own this fantastic car. So let's get this straight right now. If you send me one of those questions like I mentioned earlier, as usual with my deductive reasoning, I will fully assume that you didn't even read a word of what I took the time to write here about this incredible car. That is a dead giveaway that YOU are NOT my buyer. Never will be and 16 years doing this exclusively on eBay, you probably never will be one of my buyers. Every buyer I have ever sold to and I have sold a lot of great cars and trucks here on eBay, have always READ EVERY WORD. I LIKE THOSE BUYERS! READERS ROCK! So call me and let's make this beauty part of your collection or even more simple that "FIND" you've always wanted. Call me now before someone else who already read this does. Early bird gets the worm.
Cheers

Viva Las Vegas Autos Note from the Owner. . .
I am a "used car dealer" but before that, I'm an automobile enthusiast. I love original, rare and high quality modified vintage and modern cars. Over the past 15 years I've been in business, I have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand, high value vehicles as well. I specialize in and I am always on the lookout for cars and trucks that were cherished by their previous owners.
I have an experienced eye for quality and I've discovered that my preferred buyers can instantly discern such a vehicle and I have therefore, built my business and reputation around finding these kinds of cars for this type of customer.Super low miles and/or gentle ownership are strict requirements but a car must do something for me on a personal level if there is any hope of convincing you, the buyer, that this is an above average, exceptional vehicle. If nothing about the car excites me, it probably won't do much for you either and I would soon be out of business.
With just four employees and no sales people, I realize how unusual a "dealership" like mine may be at a first glance. It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often, an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list. To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my corner. First we do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and hope nothing escapes our methodical investigation. Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly "right" will come back to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy customer that says good things about Viva Las Vegas Autos. Moreover; it allows us to describe the car with ease and confidence, something that simply is not possible unless we think it is true. If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one. I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction so you don't get a headache over the vehicle.
After the vehicle is fully checked over and made whole at any level it needs to be, we researches its history, documents documenting originality and authenticity. Historical significance, rarity, special features, possible modifications and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty. Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 200 high resolution pictures that I take myself. The pricey equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers and I've developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch. I provide detailed views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep. Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they meticulously clean. Reconditioning can sometimes take several as we do all that we can within reason to get our vehicles in tip top condition visually and cosmetically. Way more than just a cheap detail....Our details are more like refurbishing to as close to new as we can possibly get our vehicles
Usually, I'll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If it's a fast car, we film it going fast. If it's a 4x4 you'll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system and watch gauges operational as well.
No "dealer, "? on-line or in the real world, takes it to this level. No other seller or organization provides you, the buyer, with so much information. I do this because it is the only way I can convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or feel their purchase that my vehicle is for real and what I say is an honest assessment. All the above is necessary for me to stay in business while keeping integrity intact.I want every buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on eBay. To accomplish that I need satisfied customers that are as thrilled with their purchase as I was when I bought it.
If you have any questions at all, please call me on my cell at: 702-353-7500. If your inquiry is sincere and your offerserious, you'll find me the most accommodating business partner you've ever dealt with. If you call or e-mail asking for my reserve or "what is my bottom line" I will be looking for ways to politely end the conversation. Until you are ready to actually make an offer, I will happily quote you a liberal suggested retail price - a number we both know will not buy the car so, don't waste your time, or mine. I am after all, a "used car dealer.â€â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
