79 Fiat 2000 Spider (Pininfarina) in very good condition. 2.0l Overhead cam engine, 5 speed 46,600 miles. I bought it in 2019 from an estate sale. It had not been on the road since 2003. Originally a California car as evidenced by the CA emissions sticker still in the windshiel, and the salesman’s card in the owner’s manual. How it came to Indiana is probably an interesting story, however I have no knowledge of previous history before my ownership.I have had quite a lot of mechanical work done. Full suspension rebuild (Upper & lower control arms, ball joints, shocks, springs, bushes). New top, radiator, fan, distributor, carburetor, intake manifold, complete brake system (Booster, master, calipers, rotors, pads) Front wheel bearings, Muffler and rear exhaust, Wheels and tires upgraded to 205/50R15. Interior removed and cleaned, soundproofing/insulation installed. Solid frame, and rockers. I have all the original parts removed if someone wants to go back to stock. Including the original 13” wheels. It appears to be original paint in good condition,No overspray and all decals intact. However there are paint issues on the hood and trunk lid. Some staining and crazing. My best guess is it sat under a tarp in the sun. Minor paint chips and road rash.Runs very well, no squeaks or rattles.
