Description:

1972 Dodge Other Pickups Adventurer SE

LOTS TO READ: Please take your time and read the entire description. This 1972 Dodge D100 Adventurer SE was discovered sitting in an Alabama field for 10 years (according to guy) and remarkably well preserved. As you can see from the photos it is complete and pretty solid for being 52 years old, but she does have a few needs. What you see in photos, minus the new tires, is how she was found. This truck has chrome trim everywhere! It is a highly optioned A/C truck that begs for restoration. The Good stuff:

  • It has the original 360 engine in it, NEW REBUILT, but they never finished the installation. Inside the engine looks brand new and from what I can see is all new parts. Inside of the cylinders are nice and bright using the bore scope.
  • 34189156 cylinder heads are rebuilt and as you see in pics this motor has no oil residue or signs it has been run, yet. Stock steel valvetrain.
  • No oil in engine at all - bone dry inside.
  • 8-3/4 open rear and what appears to be 3.23 on the differential tag (hard to see it).
  • Power disc brakes up front - drums on the rear.
  • 15" wagon (faded chrome) wheels with brand new tires. 275s on back, 235s up front.
  • Has the really nice Adventurer SE interior items all there: Door panels, Factory clock, trim around the pedals, deluxe steering wheel and other items.
  • Truck body is average for the age and needs typical care.
  • Tailgate is super nice, except one spot you'll see in photos. At least all the trim is there and for the SEs they are really hard to find this nice, if it all. Tailgate opens and closes nicely.
  • NO FLOOR ROT - NO ROOF ROT - NO BROKEN GLASS.
  • A/C compressor and lines and other misc items in bed of truck all go with it.
  • Tool box on passenger side bed opens and closes nicely.
The stuff that needs TLC:
  • You'll obviously need to finish the 360 installation. The 727 transmission is already attached, you just need to finish the engine items up top.
  • They left a battery sitting in front left side of bed that ate its way completely through the floor. Can be repaired, but being 100% transparent. The bed floor has random pin holes in other parts, too...smaller than a pencil, though.
  • The dash above steering wheel is cracked/broken, BUT comes with a nice replacement (a black one).
  • Glove box door was painted over, so, you'll likely want to redo that to match when you repaint the black dash.
  • Non-OEM radio and speakers mounted to dash. I don't know if they work.
Extras that come with it "IF and only IF" my reserve price is met:
  • New Edelbrock 318/360 Performer intake manifold - $380 value
  • Unused 360 truck headers (I think they are Hedman brand) - $400 value
  • New Radiator (new used) stock style - $200 value
  • 15" Police wheels - $350 value
  • Aftermarket Tuff wheel and installation kit - $230 value
  • New 360 starter.
  • New small block electronic distributor.
  • 1972 Dodge truck literature from dealership.
