1971 Dodge Challenger

Vehicle Details

What you’re looking at is my 1971 Challenger.

The car started out as a gold 318 stick car.. it’s been since modified and has become an awesome patina street hotrod.

To begin, the car has a great sounding 360 LA small block. It’s been warmed up with a nice lopey cam, edelbrock intake, longtube headers. Mopar performance distributor. Brand new brawler carburetor. The ignition is a MSD 2AL box with built in 2step that works. I’ve replaced the normal tuneup parts including spark plugs, cap and rotor, wires, and voltage regulator. The engine fires right up, runs smooth even with the big cam, and doesn’t overheat. The engine is backed by a 727 transmission with a hurst shifter, it is a manual valve body. The transmission shifts nice and firm and it’s a blast to drive with! The rear end is a 8 3/4 with 3.91 sure grip. It also has a brand new fuel tank & sending unit.

I’ve replaced the entire brake system on the car. Brand new master cylinder. All the brake lines including the hard and soft portions of the system. The hardware has also been replaced. I’ve also added a line lock the system to have some fun with leaving carshows. Along with the brake system, it does have brand new rims and tires. The rims are staggered 17/18 rev magnum 500s with 245/45/17 & 275/40/18s. The suspension rides great with the new front/rear shocks. I’ve also lowered the car 2” to give it an aggressive stance.

The interior is in decent shape for the age. The dash does show some wear with cracks. Seats are in great shape with no tears or holes. The carpet is brand new. Still does have the original radio with harness but i have not wired it to see if it works.

Exterior and underside of the car are in very good shape!! I’ve chosen to leave the ‘patina’ look on the car as it gets lots of attention at cruise in’s and shows. There is surface rust on the car as seen in the pictures but it would not take much to clean it up and give the challenger a slick paint job if that’s what you choose. It does have a TA spoiler, and I’ve added a front lower valance. The chrome trim around the rear window, and decklid I do have, just not installed. All the glass is there and installed. The passenger window will need to be aligned better. The windshield does have a crack on the passenger side. All the lights work and turn signals.

Overall the is a very fun car to drive around and enjoy. The exhaust is loud and gets a ton of attention! The car is TURN KEY and go! Yes it will need things as most old cars do, but drive it and work on it as you go. We drive this car several times a week even down the highway at 70mph and it’s smooth!

It does come with a bunch of spare parts including seat belts, taillights, badges, rear bumper, a fender, a brand new $600 deck lid and more.

I have a clean & clear Tennessee title in my name, in hand, for this challenger.

I can send any pictures or videos of the car you would like, just send me a message. I have the reserve set very low for what the car is! If you would like to work a deal off eBay, get ahold of me and let’s make a deal!
