Description:

1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport

Wrapping a spry big block and tough 5-speed in a detailed, ground-up restoration, this Chevelle is a super cool muscle car that's ready to kick your summer off with style! The beneficiary of an acute restoration that was completed in late 2007, this Chevelle is a sharp weekend cruiser that currently presents much better than original factory fodder. During the car's precise reboot, Corvette Rally Red base was sealed in mirror-like clear. And today, one close look at our high-resolution... photos reveals a handsome payoff in the form of one slick Chevrolet muscle car! Check the car's body-matched engine bay and you'll find 396 cubic inches of buff Chevy big block that was professionally assembled by Goshen, Indiana's Hi-Rev Motorsports. Behind that impressive mill, a tough hydraulic clutch spins a fresh Tremec 5-speed. That transmission is hooked to a familiar 12-bolt axle, which houses big, 4.10 gears. That drivetrain rolls on a massaged F41 Sport Suspension. At the front of that lowered chassis, color-keyed springs and QA-1 adjustable shocks are caged in a beefy sway bar and tubular control arms. Opposite that clip, a second beefy sway bar traces Edelbrock control arms and more QA-1 adjustable shocks. The car's modern power steering is augmented with four power-assisted calipers. And at the corners of the floor, polished Intros spin gripy Sumitomo meats. Pop this A-Body's solid doors and you'll find a clean Medium Red interior that's both attractive and timeless. In the middle of that cockpit, taut vinyl buckets are in excellent shape. In front of those seats, a lightly customized dash hangs a full suite of Auto Meter telemetry next to modern Eclipse audio. At the base of that dash, a factory console frames a flashy Hurst shifter. And in front of the driver, a color-keyed steering wheel laps a modern, tilting column.
