Description:

1950 Willys

This is a no reserve auction . This is my 1950 Willys Jeepster . It is a good condition daily driver type of ca, far from perfect and is a 70 year old car . It was a " bucket list " car for me I always wante, thought to take the kids out for ice cream type of Summer drives and find myself driving it alone and occasionally with my wife . It is currently on the road and insured and inspected . It has just over 92k original miles from what I know but assume it could have rolled who honestly knows . The top is new and folds easily . The side curtain windows are in very good shape with no tears and are clea, all snaps are present and hold into place .It runs very wel, pump the pedal turn the key ( pull the working choke if necessary ) and push the start pedal and turns right over and runs very well . Prior owner painted the engine and is amateurish to me but looks kind of period correct at first blush . Interior seems to be original and very good shap, not much to i, all seats are soli, passenger seat folds correctly for entry and egress . The gauges are workin, the radio never worked since i have owned it ( AM original looking /maybe original radio , the speedometer and odometer are working . The horn recently set off during the middle of the night so i disconnected it for the time being but does work once connected ( just don not trust it ) . Wipers do not work have no idea even where to look .Body looks grea, older repaint that could pass as an original typ, plenty of history as to chip, knock, scrape, etc . Lights are workin, the drivers side vent window does a a small crack in it but does not affect the function ( both vent windows open properly ) . Floors look to be original as well, pulled the rubber mats over but there looks to be some original type of matting that I assume is bonded somehow to metal but overall I trust it to be solid . Frame looks good and nothing there . Goes down the roa, stop, steer, goe, shift, etc . I have original owners manual, some repair manuals I think also . tires look old but never leaked and I have only had the car up to about 50 mph .I can be reached @ 516-467-6890 for any other questions that i will give you my honest description of . Aslo the charging system was converted to an altinator
