This is a 1940 Willy Pickup. It’s a true piece of American history. This is a True Willys Steel Body. These truck were only built form 1937-1942. The one we have for you retains the correct 4 Cylinder Engine and Trans. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and driveline of the Willys. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So. that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. It has an all steel body that’s been restored back to the factory look. The body is rock solid with good fit of all its’ panels. At the time of the resto they installed new bumpers as well as other new trim. The glass looks to have been replaced as well as the seals. The paint on this pick up is American Blue that was done right with a deep rich sine. When you look inside the bed it has new Hickory Floor with matching side boards. The final exterior touch is the set stock rims with the Wide White Tires that are New. Next. we will take a look at the interior of the Pick Up. On the inside it is also done in the stock style. It has a bench seat and appears to have the correct column and wheel. The only upgrade is a new set of gauges. Carpet has also been added with a matching set of floors mats. Finally. we will take a look at the driveline of the Willys. Under the hood you will see the engine bay is detailed nicely. It has the 4 Cylinder Flat Head engine with the 3 Speed Trans. They installed a new clutch and they upgraded the wiring to a 12 volt system. When you look under this pickup it’s every bit as clean and the top. It retains the stock front end as well as the stock rear end. This truck is something you just don’t see every day and is a rare piece of American History.
