Real UK 1989 VW GTI Big Bumper up for auction.- Originally sold through Renwicks of Newton
Abbot in the UK - purchased by myself from the previous owner in the UK who purchased it from the original owner in February 1997. Since then, it has changed hands between the previous owner, his wife and (briefly) a family friend.

Mk2 GTI’s are getting more and more rare these days especially one such as this in fully operational and reliable condition. What makes this GTI unique is the fact that it’s a real Euro right hand drive version imported directly from the UK and now residing in Oregon with a clear Oregon title and registration. Extremely fun to drive with handling and braking you’d expect from the original VW hot hatch. Almost $3500 spent recently in service work and parts making it exceptionally roadworthy and reliable. This GTI wants for nothing and is ready to drive anywhere as is. Subject to an extensive restoration and engine overhaul in 2018 with receipts by the previous owner the car fires right up and pulls hard through all gears with a 5 speed MANUAL transmission. Original navy blue paint is intact with a body that’s as straight as an arrow. Of course paintwork is not in concours condition as to be expected from a 34 year old car but still presents itself well. Buyer is responsible for shipping however I am happy to help with shipping and have shipped several vehicles over the years so am familiar with the process or feel free to fly into Portland, Oregon and drive the vehicle home to wherever you are.
