The Westfalia-Werke Van Conversion Company converted the Type 2 VW Vans in to these awesome campers. Volkswagen described the Campmobile as "having a cottage that goes anywhere you want to go". These icons are still nostalgic head turners today with a lot of fans whenever they head down the road or pull in to a... campground. The 1977 Westy offered here is features Marino Yellow exterior paint over signature Green Plaid interior. Campmobile options include: Sink, water tank, ice box, rear closet with mirror, rear shelves, double bed "upstairs" rear folding double bed, swivel passenger seat, swivel table, 110/115 AC hookup, lower storage compartment, louvered windows, etc. The interior is neat as a pin with featuring a near perfect dash, new seat upholstery, new carper, new upholstered panels, very good original veneer, wrapped steering wheel, rip free tent, and good glass. The bus has been repainted some time ago and overall remains very good, shows some age in spots and holds lots of gloss. The underside remains original, dry, and very good in all areas. The bus is powered by its 2 liter "pancake" engine, 4 speed transmission and rear wheel drive. It runs and drives good, steers well and stops straight. These classy buses have a very strong following and the market remains steady for the thrill seeker or collector. Finding a quality bus such as the one offered here is getting harder and harder to locate. Plenty of fun to be had with this Westy.
