Description:

1967 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon TYPE 2 13 WINDOW DELUXE MICROBUS

This genuine 1967 13-Window Deluxe Micro Bus has undergone a complete restoration, completed by a Volkswagen restoration specialist in Denver, CO in 2014. The exterior is finished in two-tone Titian Red and cream. The complete interior has been professionally replaced/restored to factory condition, including new headliner, carpet, panels and seats. All exterior and interior chrome and stainless has been replaced or restored. All window and body seals were replaced with new. This Split Window Deluxe Bus was professionally painted including... the bumpers, which are painted in matching cream. Features include Split front windows, six pop-out side windows, side door entry, seating for eight passengers, and a dash clock. The suspension was refreshed as well, with new German Sachs shock absorbers front and rear, new steering dampener, and new tie rod assemblies. A new battery has been fitted, as well as a completely new exhaust and dual outlet muffler system. The 1914cc engine was professionally built in August of 2014 for the bus, with new cylinder heads, engine case, and dual 40mm carburetors. It has less than 500 miles, and is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. This bus rides on new deep dish steel wheels, custom painted in the 2 body colors, with new chrome VW hubcaps. The 1914cc engine is strong, and the bus starts, runs and drives beautifully. This desirable example is from the final year of the first generation micro bus production with the iconic Split Window styling. It is a constant attention getter amongst our collection of classic and modern Porsche sports cars.
