Price: - Item location: Sandpoint, Idaho, United States
Description:

1985 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Wolfburg Edition

This rare Wolfburg Edition Weekender Camper has been owned and personally used by me since 1991. Used VW camper is in good running condition, with normal wear on exterior and interior and sold in 'AS IS Condition'. (See Condition Description). It is a great smaller camper van with a folding lower and upper bed, 2 storage cabinets in rear, under seat storage, and custom kitchen storage unit. The Weekender Edition does not have a stove, sink, propane tank or heater. Therefore less weight to pull up those hills.
Original 1900cc water block engine runs good with 208300 miles, starts easily. All mechanical work of the last 26 years has been done by an excellent Import Car shop by the VW expert using VW parts. All repair documents retained. Recent work in the last 5 years include: Replace OilBreather 200340; Gas lines replaced and Exhaust work 199400; Starter replaced and coolant system repaired 198800;Muffler& tail pipe replaced 199,400; Brakes work 180,000, front brakes 90% rear 80%; Ignition tune up & plugs 176000; 2 new batteries in 2013. Last oil & service 208075. Engine is original with factory warranty head and piston work completed at approx 49000 miles by VW dealer.
Exterior condition is worn but maintained. Minor rust work done on lower panel and repainted by owner. Stone rust chips at front and paint chips around doors, but no dents. Repainted in mid 1990s, the paint at repaired dent in panel behind sliding door is cracking. There is a small dent with minor rust under left tail light. Rear bumper replaced as were black end bumpers front and rear. Bumpers in great condition. Roof re-painted in 2017 with new decals. Clear roof skylite works with minor wear. We are selling our well loved VW van since it is time for a larger camping vehicle for our retirement. This is a great van to use with a new owner continuing repairs and upgrades, or for the person looking to restore with new engine and finishes for a long term camper van. There is nothing like as VW camper. Be part of the Vanagon community.

The Van has been registered in Idaho since 1991. Idaho does not have Emission Testing, so the van has not be tested. Bidders should check with their state on emission testing requirements registration. Also included in the offering is a set of extra rims that I used for winter tires. These have been painted black.
