1981 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Transporter 2.0 lt

This is a 1981 VW vanegontransporter van with fuel injection and A/C converted to a pop top camper before market by country homes. It's in great conditionitruns great starts right up. It'svery clean I had it looked at by alocal VWmechanic and life time buyer and seller and he told me not to takeany less than $14,000 for it that said I amvery motivated to selldue to a sudden economic crisis so I am offering here for a lowered price. I will be listing it on a couple of different sights including the samba and local papers so if I get a buyer I will just pull this add so, f you are interested at any price go ahead and submit your offer I will look at every offer I get.

There's a small dent on the passengers side door and the driver side window does not roll up.Three of the four plastic bumper covers are missing. The slider works great and is like new. The driver side windshield wiper needs to be looked at it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. The A/C and heater work as does the cassette AM/FM radio. The cigarette lighter is in working condition as is the refrigerator. The sink motor works but, have never put water in it so I am unsure if it works completely. It still has its original port apotty. It seats five all seatbelts are in good working order and is a three door with a hatch back. The pop top functions well the canvas is thick and without holessome of the pop top screens have small holes in them. The bed is a fold out bed and is in great working condition.It has a sun roof. The odometer works and reads 31,780 miles. I am not sure if it is the original engine with 131,780 miles or a new or rebuilt with 31,780? I have a lot of of original service records that show the mileage as high as 75,000 at one time. The wind shield has some pits in it but, o cracks. I just had a new master cylinder out into the braking system and the breaks now work great. It uses some oil but, s far as I know there are no leaks or at least any of size enough to see. The front seat are not in the best of condition but, re fully functional with cushions intact. This isa great van people love it I get complements every where I go in it. I will be happy to have it shipped anywhere as long as the buyer covers the full cost. It does not appear to have any smoke damage I have never smoked in it nor have I ever smelt any smoke in it and I am allergicand very sensitive to smoke. Overall this a great opportunity to a classic VW bus with a pop top that shows like a restoration but at the a much lesser cost. The last owner was a foreign auto mechanic who bought it and put a lot of work into it himself. Otherwise, t previous owner of twenty years or more took meticulous care of as have I.
