1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia CoupeThird owner and have owned car since 1989Original color was yellow and has been repainted twice; current paint is Sky Blue (Porsche 70’s).Body work and paint done at Oscar’s Body Shop in San Leandro, CA (2009)Master cylinder, brake lines, front pads and calipers, rear brake drums, and wheel bearings replaced (2010)Last tune up at LaValle’s in Concord, CA ( Spring 2015), engine is stock and has been rebuilt once at Tassi’s in Daly City, CA back in 1991.Custom interior by Avee’s Custom Upholstery in Tracy, CA (summer 2015)·New headliner and bows installed·New dash installed·New side panels, new carpet·Driver and passenger seats re-padded with new upholstery·Rear Bench seats re-padded with new upholstery·Original rims, sand blasted and repainted, new tires installed with new hubcapsThe car was my daily driver in the early 90’s. I gave it to my younger brother in 1996 while he was at UC Davis and he gave it back to me in 2001. The car was non-operated for several years and stored in my driveway under a car cover until I started the restoration in 2009.
