Description:

1971 Triumph Other Stag

Up for auction is myfriends rare 1971 Triumph Stag with only 72,349 on theodometer. She is a project car but as far as Triumph's go she is very rare. What makes her even more rare is that she has her original V8 engine, factory air conditioning, factory power windows, factory wire wheels and factory steel hard top. The car is selling this week so here's your chance to get a good running rare 1971 Triumph Stag at a bargain price. Mechanically:The car runsgood with recently rebuilt carburetors, new fuel pump and new battery. The car starts right up with no issues, noises, smoke and holds good oil pressure. The car is not street worthy at this time as she needs some brake work, possibly new tiresand the exhaust needs repair / replacement.I'm not a mechanic but I think if you replace the bleeder valves on the brakes and then bleed the system from air you should have a good break peddle. Automatic transmission goes into all gears.Car can be driven around my 2 acre lot but not on the street. Note: yes I do have the originalair cleaner but could not find new filters locally so I left them off the car. Air Conditioning: Yes the car has the very, very rare factory air conditioning option. State / condition of the unitis unknown. Will need to be re instated.
Gauges:All gauges are correct and original. Electrical System: Headlights, wipers, blower fan works as does most other exterior lights. Drivers power window works but the passengers side window only works from time to time ( think its a bad switch or not making a clean contact when engaged ).
Interior: Is in serviceable condition but as you can see it needs some touch up. The biggest item would be she needs a carpet kit. Exterior: The car presents herself nicely but as you can see she is in need of rust repairs. Soft Top:Is inaverage /goodcondition. Hard Top: Yes as you car see she comes with her original steel factory hard top. Trunk: The trunk isappears to be in goodsolid condition. Shipping:If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/
Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logisticsshipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ). In Closing: This is a very rare and highly optioned Triumph Stag. She would easily part out for 10k or betterbut given how well she runs I'd restore her. Heck, there is a Triumph Stag engine by its self listed on Ebay for $4800 alone. This car is a steal at this price.
Offers: Prefer to let the market set the price but if you want to make an offer over the current bid price I'm open to that.I reserve the option to end the auction early if I get such an offer.
I don't claim to be an expert and my opinion ofthe car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photoslet me knowprior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed or implied. Due to the cars age and condition she is being sold as a project car and in "as is" condition.A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time
