Vehicle Details
This 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40 was dissassembled, the body was removed from the frame, and the engine and transmission were also removed. The frame was bead blasted and painted, the engine and transmission were painted with high-heat paint. A new floor with factory pattern was added to the rear of the vehicle as the original floor had some rust issues. The body, fenders, hood, doors, hinges and other miscellaneous parts were sanded to bare metal, primed, and painted in Dune Beige, Toyota Code 406.
The new parts on this BJ40 are almost too numerous to list.
It received a full mechanical restoration as well. The engine, transmission, differentials, and radiator were all rebuilt. New hoses, brakes, brake lines, and electrical system. New batteries, suspension, front and rear shocks, u bolts, clamps, master cylinder, bumper, stainless steel bolts, fluids, all weatherstripping and rubber on the vehicle is also new. New Goodyear tires. The aftermarket rims were replaced with OEM rims and hubcaps to keep the vehicle original.
The interior is also new. The seat frames were restored and painted, and the front and rear seats were reupholstered to include new foam. A vinyl floor covering in both the front and rear was custom fitted and stitched to protect the floor. New factory spec headliner and door panels. New shift and 4x4 knobs. All emblems are new on the exterior including the shifting instructions on the outside of the glove box. 4x4 and crawl function work excellent.
Every effort was taken to ensure the BJ40 was restored to factory original condition. I had this land cruiser restored for myself and was planning to keep it, but I must sell it due to life events. Other examples of full mechanical and cosmetic frame off restorations on FJ and BJ40s go fo over $100k. Work done by Jems Classics in New Castle, Delaware. The vehicle has a clean Delaware title, and any prospective buyers are welcome to come thoroughly inspect vehicle.
