Located near 2000 W. River Rd. in Tucson, AZ (85705) this classic 1991 4Runner (known as a second generation) is mechanically restored to run and drive as good as it looks. Needs absolutely nothing but fuel to drive cross country.
Legendarily reliable 22RE EFI (2.4L) 4 cylinder rebuilt less than 500 miles ago with new timing chain featuring METAL GUIDES (instead of the stock plastic ones) and a billet adjustable cam gear from LC engineering (see picture of it installed in this vehicle below). Starts every time with a turn of the key and runs like a sewing machine. No smoke, no leaks, no knocks, no issues. Blows virtually zeros at emissions testing. Receipts included.
Cooling system upgraded to V6 radiator so it runs significantly cooler than stock. Temp gauge doesn't exceed 190 degrees even when AC blowing cold.
5 Speed manual transmission features a newlyinstalled clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out and pilot bearings along with a new rear main seal and a freshly machined flywheel. A new hydraulic slave and master cylinder were also installed at that time. Shifts smooth as designed. No leaks. Receipts included.
4x4 works perfect with factory gear driven 2 speed transfer case and manual lockout hubs.
Interior is super clean. No tears or stains on the upholstery. The AC blows cold and has been converted to the modern 134A freon. The SR5 gauge cluster features a tachometer, oil pressure gauge, plus water temp and voltimeter gauges. Top of the dash pad has some typical heat cracking from the Arizona sun but the new dash carpet keeps it cool and covers it nicely. The radio deck is a newSony with bluetooth. The rear tailgate window goes up and down with the factory center console switch or key in the back like it should.
Rides tight with new shocks, brakes and virtually every suspension component on all 4 corners. No rattles, clunks or squeaks on the bumpiest of roads. Equipped with four new 31x10.5x15 Mickey Thompson Baja All Terrain radial tires mounted and balanced on new 15x8 black steel wheels.
All the fluids in every case are new.
Truck was bought new in Tucson, AZ so there's absolutely no rust. Never wrecked. Original paint and body has some minor dings and imperfections but still looks great for the age. Scores 75 (as high as possible) on the Experian Auto Check Vehicle History Report.
Original miles clean Arizona title is notarized. Fresh passed emissions slip and receipts for engine and clutch work included.
