1968 Shelby GT350 Cobra Mustang Convertible, 1 of214 four speedconvertibles built.What makes it even rarer is it's 1 of 17 built with the factory3.89 Ratio Rear Axles.This Shelby was the only one delivered to Pletcher Ford in Jenkintown, Pa. on 5/18/68.Note there has never been a front tag bracket installed since it was being delivered to PA.
This Shelby retains it's original matching numbers 302 engine, 4-speed transmission and rear with 52,700 original miles, with original factory/dealer warranty book and original factory issued build sheet, keys and Deluxe Marti Report. Letters from Elaine Wintermute to Doug Boyes talking about all the adventures she and Robert had with the Shelby during their time of ownership.This Shelby is listed in the Shelby American World Registrybookwhich is included with the sale.
Robert Wintermute purchased this Shelby brand new while studying to be aPharmacist. He owned the car from 5/5/69 until 3/29/78 when it was purchased by theBoyes family wholived 5 miles away form Robert. I purchased the car from Doug Boyes in May of 2016. This Shelby has lead a pampered life !!
This Shelby was born Lime Metallic but Doug did not care for the color and had theShelby Professionally prepped and painted with the rarespecial order 1968Ford Coral - Color Code WT-5185. in June of 2011. The paint is Show Quality !!
This Shelby is in perfect condition and needs nothing. The interior is original except the carpets and door panels. New seat covers waiting to be installed but the originals are still to nice. The Power Top works perfectly!!
