This 1985 Renault Encore LS has had 1 owner who recently passed away. The car has been given a tuneup which included new pads and rotors, new rear shocks, new spark plugs and an oil change. A new valve cover gasket is included with the sale. NOS center dash buttons were installed, a NOS rear emblem and a GS steering wheel (original wheel is included). Renault GTA wheels with brand new tires were installed, but these DO NOT come with the sale, however they can be purchased separately. The original wheels with good tires will be put back (see last photo).The interior of the car is in great shape. The dash and door panels are in excellent shape. The passenger side window doesn't roll up or down, common problem with these cars. All other 3 windows work perfectly. The headliner has been removed by the previous owner, I assume it was sagging.The car has a 1.7L motor and is equipped with the optional AC which works. The motor starts right up and is in excellent running condition. I recently drove it from CT to NY cruising at 65-70 mph. The steering is straight and tight. No noise from the suspension. The rear axle does squeak when going over bumps, common issue with these cars. Original Renault bushings to fix the squeak are included with the sale. The clutch is in perfect working condition.All the electrical is in working order. Headlights, taillights, signals, horn, dash lights, wipers work. I installed new windshield wipers. An extra set of new set of low beam headlights are also included.The body is in decent condition, with some scratches and one dent on the driver's side rear door. The clearcoat on the hood is cracking and peeling. The door jambs are in excellent condition, no rust anywhere. The car was kept in a garage all its life. The underside is in great condition as well.The car is located in Queens, NY. It can be driven anywhere. Test drives are welcomed. A $200 deposit is due within 24 hours of the sale. The car has to be picked up within 7 days after the auction ends. No reserve auction, the highest bidder drives it home!I gave a detailed and honest description of the car.
