Description:
1965 Porsche 356 SC
1965 Porsche 356 SCUp for sale is a beautiful 965 Porsche 356 SC (130618). I have personally had possession of this car for over 2 years and loved every second. The car runs amazing with a smooth shifting transmission. It is no garage queen and has been driven almost daily over my ownership. While she will be missed I am selling due to family illness.
This beauty comes with the original keys plus extras; a box of books (Owners manual, orkshop manuals, riginal brochures, old Road and Track clippings. etc. etc.) and receipts dating back to original delivery. Also included is the original title and the a notebook including the original owners gas journal - date, ileage, gallons and cost of gas.
First let me address the small quarter sized rust by the headlight - it looks worse than it is in the pictures (which isn't that bad). If you are purchasing and intend to repaint this section will be a quick repair while prepping to paint.
The engine number is 608225 a 1962 1600 (Type 616/1 T6). The engine was replaced in 1972. Have receipt! Being that the car is a Euro model it has the original European heater option.
The floor pans and bottom of the car is quite clean of rust. The car was stored in a garage every night and lived its life on the road. The battery pan is in good shape except one corner but its definitely strong enough to hold the large golf cart battery I have mounted in there. Also an easy fix if repainting / restoring car.
The interior is original the seats are in near perfect to great shape. The seat belts are still intact and work. All of the instruments work and look great! The only thing not original on the interior that I know of is the radio is an aftermarket cassette player. The carpet is original but worn, hough not bad. All glass looks to be original and windows function as they should. All exterior chrome looks great.
The Porsche really looks great yet you aren’t too afraid to drive it. I love the condition of the car and have many times thought of restoring the car but was too afraid of not being able to drive her. (You will know what I mean when you drive it.).
This car gets more attention than any car I own or have ever driven. Be prepared to be chased down just so people can talk to you about her.
If you require an inspection of the car I can recommend some places here locally. I have had a few tire kickers that have wasted my time and were unable to pay. Feel free to ask me any questions but if you are going to bid please be able to pay!
I have the title and it is still unsigned from my original purchasing (as I purchased from original owner) I can sign it or give you the title and a bill of sale and you can be second owner.
I am open to all reasonable offers or any questions you may have. Feel free to call me at 843 283 7676
