I have my accident and rust free numbers matching 1976 912E Sunroof Car up for sale for someone who wants a small project. When I purchased the car the exterior sliver paint had been touched up incorrectly due to scratches and chips. The car was so nice and since I planned to keep the car forever, I had all of the glass pulled, doors off, fenders off, hoods off etc, the car sanded down and the car repainted by a very reputable and professional Porsche body shop (full picture album of the process available for serious buyers). Exterior paint is mint and as nice as it gets. Panels were put back on with new correct zinc hardware.
While I was painting the car, I decided to pull the engine as someone had removed the fuel injection and replaced the system with the typical Weber setup. I sourced an original 76 912E complete FI system from a running car and purchased it. The engine is currently at the engine builder getting sorted and the original Fuel Injection put back on the car. Engine is a full rebuild with all pictures and machining. All that is left to do on the engine is wait for the builder to finish and install.With the repaint, we ordered most all new seals and rubbers, sunroof, mirrors, bumpers, trunk seals, engine seals, door seals, glass seals etc some of which still needs installed. All of the glass has been reinstalled professionally and correctly except the rear quarter windows because at the time the glass guy came, the seals were backordered. I now have them in hand, but they will need to be installed. The bumpers, mirrors, rocker covers, need put back on still. They are all painted and ready to go, but I was going to do this until after I put the engine back in.The interior is original Russet (lobster) and near mint and required no attention from my perspective. (Interior shots are pre exterior sliver repaint but interior remains unchanged).
