1971 Porsche 911

1971 Porsche 911E
Recent find in dry storage for the last 25 years. For your consideration is a1971 Porsche 911E (VIN:9111200375)recently found in Sacramento, CA. This Porsche was sold new in California (Niello Porsche / Audi, Sacramento)before being relocated by the original owner to the dry climate of Colorado. The original owner then returned to the Sacramento area in 1986 where the Porsche was reportedly sold to the second owner. It would then be parked (by the second owner) in dry storage from 1994 until we recently located it.
This is by far the most rust-free Porsche I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The floors are original and perfectly solid as are the typical susceptible areas including front pan, battery boxes, suspension points, sills, rockers, jack points and smuggler's box. Completely dry and solid. You will be hard pressed finding another original rust free example in this condition. Athorough inspection showed no signs of ever having been involved in a collision with no repair. Original undercoating. Everything is straight, solid, and original.
The second owner performed a color change to Guards Red from the original burgundy (Color 2424). He also added a fiberglass front bumper and fiberglass rear flaresin the late 1980s to resemble a contemporary Carrerabefore putting the car into longterm storage in 1994. Since we acquired the Porsche we fitted a very nice metal 911S front bumper and factory rear bumper.
The original fuel-injected 2.2L flat-six (Engine No. 6210604)is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle, and the car benefits from a cleaned fuel tank, new rubber fuel lines, rebuilt brake calipers (originally fitted with 911S calipers), and new front rotors. This 911E is offered with factory literature and a clean California title.
As previously stated, this Porsche was originally burgundy (2424). The previous owner had it repainted in Guards Red and fitted it with a set of fiberglass rear flares. The original color is shown in the photos with the front bumper removed. It has since been fitted with a metal front bumper and valence from a 911S, and a factory rear bumper assembly.
16″ Fuchs wheels measure 6″ wide (front) / 7″ wide (rear), and are fitted with BF Goodrich tires. An original set of the correct 14" Fuchs are available for an added expense. All four brake calipers have been rebuilt, new front discs and new brake flex hoses have been installed.
The cabin is very original with original carpets, plastics, and upholstered in black leatherette, and the car retains a factory four-spoke steering wheel. The car is not equipped with a radio, and there is some cracking on the upper dash. The rear seats are in good condition. All glass is original with correct Sekurit logos.
Instrumentation includes a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, 66,000 miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer.
Factory literature is included in the original vinyl folio as well as the maintenance booklet.
