Description:

1988 Porsche 924 --

1988 PORSCHE 924 S --Indisch Red with partial Linen Leather interior, Linen carpeting, 2.5 liter inline 4-cylinder engine, Automatic transmission, 9,200 miles/2-owners from new. The Porsche 924 was the first production Porsche with a water-cooled front engine, first introduced in November of 1975, and by all accounts is responsible for saving Porsche from financial ruin as their offering to replace the 914. The 2+2 coupe featured a rear transaxle with a 48/52 front/rear weight distribution, which made the car handle... exceptionally well. It was a massive sales success for Porsche, with over 150,000 examples being sold during its 11-year production run. 1983 saw the introduction of the much-improved 944, although similar visually to the 924, the 944 featured an all-new alloy 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine. In 1986, Porsche decided to equip the car with the 944 engine and release it as the 924 S. The 924 S had 50 percent more power than the standard 924, giving it the performance that it should have had. This 924 S is a two-owner example from new and has been maintained and kept to perform and appear as new, and as a result the car is absolutely stunning throughout. This 924 S is nicely equipped with desirable options, such as Air Conditioning, Electric Sunroof, Electric Windows and Cruise Control. In addition, the original tools, jack, and a period Porsche marketed Bra in its unopened box accompany the car - it is ready for immediate Concours or road use and will not disappoint even the most discerning collector!
