1969 GTO A True Numbers Matching Southern Survivor ! A True Numbers Matching Southern Survivor! This all original 1969 Pontiac GTO is powered by it’s original matching-numbers (with PHS documentation) 400ci, 4 bbl with Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, posi rear end, still sporting its ORIGINAL FACTORY BURGUNDY PAINT and its ORIGINAL black vinyl roof and ORIGINAL black vinyl seats. The GTO comes with factory air conditioning, ORIGINAL factory hood tach, ORIGINAL Rally II wheels, It is also equipped with power steering and power brakes and push button radio. All sheet metal is original, straight & rust free. (except 1- nickel size rust spot shown in photo) the GTO is completely void of ANY fillers or sheet metal patches of any kind! The undercarriage is completely rust free as well as the trunk.

History

This 1969 GTO was built in the Atlanta GA. assembly plant and invoiced to a dealer, Rogers and Company located in Knoxville, TN.

1st Owner

4/23/1970 The vehicle sold to the original owner RC Walters of Knoxville TN. on 4/23/1970 who owned the vehicle for 27 years and passed away 1997

2nd Owner

1998 Mike Winget from KY purchased the GTO with 54,000 miles (Mike Winget’s signed history sheet and contact information will come with vehicle documentation) The following work was performed: Replaced radiator, the air conditioning pump, clock & radio were sent off for reconditioning. Shocks & springs were replaced, front & rear sway bars were added, The steering wheel was changed, console changed to his/hers and the rear end was changed to 3.55 positive traction unit (all parts from 68/69 GTO all receipts come with documentation AND as a bonus all original parts were maintained & available!

In 2005 Mike had the GTO’s motor rebuilt with 70,000 miles. The exhaust valves were hardened for today’s gas. The cam, intake, carburetor and distributor were changed. (All original parts were maintained & available)

The GTO was sold to a gentleman from Louisiana with 73,000 miles who installed air shocks, battery, rear brakes, front & rear u-joints, both axle seals, transmission fluid and filter change & the radio was replaced with a retro Pontiac am/fm. (original radio comes with vehicle)

Fourth/ Current Owner

I recently purchased this GTO with 74,678 miles. I replaced the carburetor with a new Holley 750 with electric choke and vacuum secondaries. I Added a rotary vane vacuum pump and reservoir for better braking and a new fuel pump.
