1979 Pontiac Trans Am

Up for auction is this beautiful 1979 Pontiac Trans Am, It's factory-equipped with its original, matching-number, 6.6 Liter V8 engine and automatic transmission. It's a factory Fisher T-top car, and it also has air conditioning. The body is extremely straight and shows no sign of collision damage or rust repair. It starts easily, runs smoothly, doesn't overheat, and overall behaves the way itshould. The transmission shift points are perfect, it doesn't leak or burn fluid. There are no weird smells, all the gauges work, the tires are good, and all the lights, wipers and horn work. This is one of those cars I would feel comfortable driving anywhere. The interior is in great shape. No rips or tears, headliner is perfectly intact, the trunk is solid, never been patched nor repaired, and the same can be said for the floorpans. T-top seals are soft and pliable. The air conditioning system is entirely complete and intact, but blows warm. I imagine a rechargewould likely remedy that. The original shaker hood bubble sits properly at the correct height and has never been cut open. All body panels line up properly and thegaps are what they should be. This is an older restoration so I don't want to say the car is free of blemishes, but it presents very nicely overall.
During the restoration, the car was painted the correct shade of Pontiac Starlight Black, and Y84 Bandit Special Edition gold graphics were added, along with correct Y84 gold emblems and the correct Y84 gold dash applique. It also has the correct WS6 15x8" Snowflake Wheels with correct original round center caps and the correct Y-splitter exhaust tips. If you're familiar with these cars, you know the reproductions of those two items just don't look right.
To clarify - This is not a factory Y84 car and I do not wish to represent it as such. However, it's an excellent recreation of one with painstaking attention paid to detail.
