Description:

1979 Pontiac Firebird

1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula project. Real Formula. All the hard work is done. Bought from a friend who was moving and was unable to take with him. Decided to sell as I have too many projects myself. This car is going to be a beast when done.Pontiac 400 bored 30 over to a 406. Dyno time only, no miles since top end was built.
Practically EVERYTHING IS NEW. Viking coil overs in front, Hotchkis rear suspension, CPP front rebuild kit with all new bushings, ball joints, etc. Front and rear sway bars, new fuel system with return line. All stainless steel brake and fuel lines, Factory posi rear end with 4 wheel disk brakes, slotted cross drilled rotors. Zero miles on brand new Turbo 350 tranny. Have new wiring harness too. Have most everything to finish except a few things. Have all window trim and glass except windshield. All glass is out of the car in preparation of body work and paint. ALL metal work is done except right fender, should be replaced, and one small spot on passenger door. Quarters are solid. No hood or radiator. Missing gauges and front seats. Truck floor has one pin hole and right rear frame rail has been repaired. Rest of floor and rockers are solid. Front and rear glass channels and truck surround are solid. A-Pilers too. Bid with confidence this car will be worth it. Drivetrain and chassis alone cost more the starting bid. This is no reserve auction.
Please keep in mind that this is a project with all the big ticket stuff done. Needs body, paint, interior and reassemble.
