1969 Pontiac GTO

Here is a Sweet 69 ready to cruise. The car has been given a frame up restoration that is 95% finished. The engine is a 400 cu in YS motor that was rebuilt a few years back and runs great. The carb was recently rebuilt, Petronix II module and coil added, all hoses and fluids changed, painted and new chrome added, and was given a complete tune-up. The trannie is a Turbo 400 automatic that works great and was given a fluid and filter change. The complete underneath of the car was stripped and given a fresh paint job. The floor pans were painted satin black with the frame and suspension painted gloss black. There was a complete new dual exhaust installed. The entire brake system listed has been replaced new: power booster, master cylinder, proportional valve, dist block, lines, drums, internals, shoes, calipers, and bearings. The body was treated to an original color Verdoro Green BC/CC. Then it was wet sanded, buffed, and polished to a beautiful shine. The rims are 69 coded and were sandblasted and painted back to original with the addition of new beauty rings, center caps, and new Cooper white letters. The interior is mostly all original and shows very little wear. Here is what is left on the car to do to make it a complete restoration. The hideaways need the vacumn lights rebuilt, passenger side has a leaky exhaust gasket, headliner needs replaced, backs of front seat need new sections sewed in, and the brakes ( even though it is all brand new) the pedal seems a little hard. I would not consider this car to be a 100 point show car, I would consider it to be a high quality driver and local car show favorite. This is a real 242 code GTO.
