We are offering for sale a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am "455" in white with blue strips and blue interior. The car is equipped with a Pontiac 455 cu.in. engine with 300 hp and a torque of 415 lb./ft. The car was restored in 2014. The restoration included exterior, interior, engine, exhaust, gearbox, drive train, suspension, brakes and wheels. The odometer shows 89760 miles. The car was stored for a couple of years by a car aficionado who is also a collector and was driven occasionally. It does need a little TLC to makeit a good driver with lots of power. The car is clean inside, outside and underneath.However, it's neither a "Showcar" norin an "Excellent condition". The car has it's age and will tell by the overall condition and looks. In terms of the age of the car, we would describe the car infair to good condition andconsider it a real survivor. Some people say this is one of Pontiac's lastclassic muscle car.

Body / Paint

The car has been repainted. The paint is in overal fair condition but shows it's age. There is some small bubbles on top of the roof, a spot next to the left taillight where the bondo is exposed and a rust bubble at the lower corner of the drivers door. There are also a few small cracks in the paint at the front and rear bumper.The body has some dings and dents and some scratches too. Overall, the car has no excessive rust nor any rotten areas, exept for the spot at the drivers door.No collision damage or carried out repair work canbe found - all body seams are original. All gaps at doors and hoods and transitions of the body are correct.The body is completely solid - the wheel wells, rocker panels areabsolutely spotless. All critical areas such as sills, A-pillar posts, lower side panels, wheel archesare without blemish. The floor is solid, has no rust and is painted in black gloss. The bumpers are undamaged. All chrome, aluminum- and stainless steel trims, rubber- and plastic parts are in good condition. After 40 years, the overall outside appearance of the car is in a good and fair condition.

Interior

The car has a blue interior. The entire interior of this non smoker car very clean. The carpet was replaced and without any damage.The original seats were recovered with real leather. They are in perfect condition, very clean with no damage at all. The seat adjustment and seat tracks are working smooth. The rear seats are original and in perfect condition. All door panels are in good condition with no damage.The original dashboard is slightly deformed and is cracked at one spot at the top. Thecenter console and armrests are in good condition. The headliner was replaced and in good condition. All buttons, controlsand lever are undamaged. The power windows and the window guides work fine. Some gauges are not working, the odometer is not working properly and shows the actual speed incorrect. The gauges at the a-pillar post are not connected. The heating and cooling blower is not working. All trim parts are in nice condition. Theinterior shows ony very little signs of wear and looks exceptional nice.

Engine / Transmission

The original engine was replaced by a 455 cu.in. from 71-73. Theengine and heads were overhauled and tuned for perfect performance. The engine is equipped with a Holley 750 on an Edelbrock intake and 4-1 exhaust headers. The previous owner stated that the engine has at least the original 300 h.p. with a torque of 415 lb./ft.. The real horsepower and torque is unknown, but the car is very strong and performs well. The Turbo 350, the drive train and the Posi Trac rearend were overhauled too. The engine and the engine compartment all around is very clean. However there is an undiscovered small oil leak.All lines are properly connected, the hoses are without any cracks. The motor has just received a fresh service, incl. oil filter, air filter and spark plugs. An performance aluminum radiator with 2 electric fans was installed. The electric fans are not connected to an temp. switch and run permanent afterignition "on". The 350 gearbox shifts flawless without power loss and almost imperceptiblyin all gears. The tranny is dry with no leaks.The drive train is free of play. Theexhaust system including mufflers is all solid and in agood condition.

Brakes / Suspension

The car is equipped with the original brake system. front brake rotorsincl. brake pads and the rear brake pads are in good condition. The braking performance is powerful and the brakes are working properly. All brake cylinders aredry withno leaks. The car remains on track at heavy brakingand there is no one-sided braking behavior. The parking brake engages properly and the release works properly. The shocks have been replaced and the suspensions and sway bars are equipped with Poly bushings.

Wheels / Tires

The car is equipped with PMD "Year One" aluminum wheels in the size 17x9. The rims are without any scratches or curbside damages.The tires are Hankook Ventus ST 255/50-17 W. They are in good condition, with no cracks or damages with approx. 75% profile depth remaining.

Underbody

The underbody is all original, completely clean and without any damage. There are no dents or any damages on the entire floor area. The floor is absolutely solid.The undercarriage is painted in black gloss The wheel wells, rocker panels are absolutely solid.
