Description:

1984 Pontiac Trans Am Trans Am

1984 Pontiac Trans Am with only 79K miles and almost completely original. It's been in storage since 2015 so the carb has been rebuilt and fuel pump replaced. I also did a cap and rotor, new plugs, and a oil change. Also has a new battery.

Came from the factory with power windows and mirrors, a/c, powersteering, function hood scoop, 5-speed manual, 3.73 rear end, power seat, cruise control, t-tops, and areo package. I took a picture of the RPO sticker from the center console so you can look up all the options.

There is zero rust and and the paint is in great shape other than a spot on the driver side fender and rear quarter that has a little peeling clear (tried my best to get it in a picture but a white car hides it really well). There is also a little chipping around the hood scoop and the leading edge of the hood and headlights from rock chips. Popup headlights do function as they should.

Tires are older but near new when it comes to tread depth. The exhaust was replaced at some point with a stock replacement with cat and is in great shape. The only thing on the outside that off is the antenna doesn't power up. The door on the passenger side does scrap the ground effect when opening and closing (normal GM thing).

T-tops leaked just a bit when I bought it which was an easy fix but I had to replace the material on the rear driver side seat and while I was at it I had a small rip on the drivers side seat fixed also. The headliner is in good shape and there are no cracks in any glass. The dash pad has the typical crack or two but is still presentable unlike some I've seen (it's currently cover with a dash mat). Interior is complete and in great shape. The armrest is there, working, and no cracks even. Comes with the original t-top bag but it does have a small hole in it. All the gauges and buttons work except for the gas gauge which stuck on full which may only be a bad ground but I have not investigated it. Radio was replaced at some point but the current one works and all the speakers work.

Under the hood is the original 305 HO with only a few changes. Someone removed the emission parts and plugged them off which doesn't turn on the check engine light but it won't pass a emissions test I would guess. The one other thing is a aftermarket flex fan with the stock shroud. The a/c has a charge but squeals when turned on. May be a loose belt or a compressor on it's way out but it does hold a charge. There are no leaks underneath ands it rides pretty good for its age and being an old f-body.

All in all a really nice example of a 1984 Trans-am you can daily drive and make upgrades and still have the stock parts to go back to original if needed.

There's no reserve.
