Description:

1988 Pontiac Fiero GT

Here is my 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT.

It is a 3.8 litre Supercharged engine conversion that was started but I don't have the time to complete.

Maybe you've done one of these before or please check out the others online

This will be an awesome little rocket once it's complete and on the road again!!!

Here is the Good and Bad...or what still needs to be done...

The Good:

  • The Engine is the Series III, Supercharged. 3.8 V6 from a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, 260 HP and 280 ft lb Torque (stock) with only 11k miles since new. (see the tag still on the engine)
  • The Transmission is the T465E Heavy Duty with 3.29:1 ratio also from the Grand Prix GTP with just 11k miles
  • Rear Brakes (spindles, rotors & calipers) are also the larger performance option from the 2004 Grand Prix GTP
  • A new Magnaflow custom exhaust system was installed. The wrappers were never removed from the tips yet. (just once for the picture)
  • All the hard work and fabrication and mounting brackets for fitment of the new driveline is done.
  • This car was always garaged, loved and very well maintained from new and the Interior upholstery, seats, door panels, carpet and trim are all like new. All the rubber seals around the doors are in excellent condition. (very rare in these cars).
  • Comes with a brand new "Fiero GT" badge for the nose. (not yet installed)

The not so good... or what still needs to be done to be a running car again:

  • The mounting brackets and cradle modification for installation of the 3.8 engine and drive line are in and bolted up - but are just sitting in place. Notice that the bolts on the control arms, spindles, etc are loose and in place for proper fitment but not tightened.
  • I have temporary spare tires on the rear as the bolt pattern is larger on the supercharged Grand Prix hubs and spindles. (Comes with the original rear wheels that could be re-drilled or you could use similar styled Grand Prix wheels on the rear)
  • The Engine will need all of the electronic connections made. The wiring harness, ECM and electronic gas pedal for the new engine and trans comes with it. (see picture of it laid out on the hood. Every connection is labeled. It will also need the cooling lines and shifter and brakes reconnected. Basically the engine is in but nothing is hooked up to it.

  • There is one crack in the door body panel but the rest of the body is very nice other than some typical fading of the red paint in places.

Again, This is a project car that needs work and is sold "as is" Basically the engine is in but nothing is hooked up to it. You will need to flat bed transportor trailer to pick it up.

I have a clear Pennsylvania Title to transfer to the new owner.

I have so much more invested in this then I'm asking... the old saying.. My loss is your gain.
