[isdntekvideo] NO RESERVE AUCTION STARTING at $11970 Pontiac Firebird Esprit350 V8 Automatic Transmission A/CCar HistoryThis is a 1 owner all original numbers matching1970 Firebird!!! The owner was 50 years old and had no intention of owning a muscle car in 1970 when he won this Firebird at a charity raffle . Since the car was not needed in the family and his only child was a 30 year old daughter at the time of winning this firebird it was not used very often mostly on weekends. He never abused this car he had it maintained and swore to never sell it. He had many young people in the 80's and 90's notice it when the garage door was open but he turned down every offer . Unfortunately the owner passed away earlier this year at 97 years of age. His daughter in her 70's was forced to sell the car. Her father stopped driving the Firebird around 10 years ago and it sat in the garage untouched . When we acquired the ca, we drained al the fluids (ga, oi, water) replaced belt, water pump and a new battery. It fired right up and ran great!! It is very evident he maintained this car. From underneath you can see new ball joint, bushing, etc and other signs he took good care of this Firebird. He kept many receipts dating as far back as 1979 .He also has about 40 years of vehicle registration cards including the Original one from 1970! The Firebird has the orignal rear license plate only with every sticker on it since new. I have a new current California Title in my name and its currently Registered until Sep of 2019. The odometer reads 13,699 miles which I can only assume is 113,699 miles judging by the records as there is only a 5 digit read out.
Drive Train and Chassis DetailsFactory Pontiac 350 V8 No leak, Runs great! New Water pum, A/C pump does not work it's orignal so we did not want to replace it. Transmission Shifts good and seems to be working great . Factory Disc brakes stop great . Rides smooth with many bushings and joints parts look to be replaced about a decade ago.
Body and interiorThe Body is in fantastic shape for being almost 50 years old, there are some dings and dents as seen in the pictures and video . The daughter said most of the door dings are from being parked in his own garage. This was garaged since new and the original top shows it as its in great shape. The paint is glossy in some places and dull in others mostly trunk area as this probably had more sun when the garage door was open overall not bad. The interior is also great shape for a car almost 50 years old. All orignal except for the center inserts of drivers seat appears to have been redone. Carpets is in great shape and there is even the original rubber floor mats in the trunk that are starting to fall apart. The headliner is sagging and beginning to come apart at the seams.
