Description:

1973 Plymouth Satellite Custom

Purchased by my father brand new on the lot in 1973, was garaged in Huntington Beach most of its life. Moved it to Laguna Niguel and has been parked outside for a few years. Rust is an issue now.
I had always wanted to convert to natural gas or electric, and to otherwise restore the wagon, but try as I might I could never find anyone who could or wanted to do this type of work in the manner I was looking for.Restorations by Julius, for example, would have been much too expensive, and I think he is not interested in this type of Chrysler product from what I understand.
This one is just like the Station Wagon on later seasons of "The Brady Bunch," so that's yet another reason why I never wanted to sell it.But now that I've finally made up my mind, I went to take it to the car wash today, and it wouldn't start. I couldn't believe it...after all these years the timing!Seems like something with the fuel supply. Battery and starter cranks just fine.
So it needs to be towed away, unless I can get it started, in which case I can update the listing to reflect running.
Front bench seat has been reupholstered, but the middle and rear-facing seats are original upholstery.
Engine was rebuilt at about 100,000 miles, and was running great, with a well adjusted carburetor, until as mentioned before trying to start it today.
Transmission was replaced around the same time with an overdrive transmission. You can see the toggle switch and control module on the interior shot.
Would be happy to answer any questions, since I haven't sold a car in many years, and not sure I've included everything of interest or concern to buyers of this type of vehicle and situation.
All best!
