Description:

1969 Plymouth Road Runner Base

You are looking at a REAL “Numbers Matching” Roadrunner with just under 75,000 (believed to be) original miles showing on the odometer. This car received a full rotisserie restoration in 2009. According to the fender tag the color was changed from a two tone Platinum Metallic car with an Alpine White Top and Black interior with Pewter upper doors (rare combination) to Hemi Orange. The restoration was done by a reputable shop in Dallas. Shop receipts came to $50,000 and I will include the receipts in the sale of the car. Interior was done by “Legendary Interiors” and included the Carpets, All Door Panels, Head Liner and Seat Covers. A new dash pad comes with the car but you will need to install it. The dash pad along with some extra window felts will be in the trunk of the car when it arrives.

The Car Is Numbers Matching. This is the car’s greatest asset. The Engine, Transmission, Vin Tag and Fender Tags ALL have the correct factory stampings and the numbers ALL MATCH. This car still retains ALL of it’s original components just as it did when it rolled down the St. Lewis assembly line back in 1969.

The Transmission shows a very crisp factory stamp on the VIN Pad and has never been altered. Looking closely at the engine stamp (very important) you can clearly see the factory “cutter wheel marks” which are signature for a factory unaltered Vin Pad. Also showing on that pad are the last 8 digits of the VIN number stamped over the top of the factory markings. Additionally, the font and characters are evenly spaced on both the transmission and engine pad. This cannot be faked and is the way you can tell if these numbers have ever been altered. All other markings and stampings on the engine (383 HP) and transmission (727 HD) are factory and correct. This is a clean #’s matching roadrunner. Look closely at the pictures.

Everything on this car is vintage correct right down to the date-coded heater hoses, hose clamps, date coded spark plug wires, tan distributor cap and even a NEW vintage Mopar battery that was purchased by me one week ago. The car even has its original points ignition and distributor. Intake and exhaust manifolds are all original to the car. The wheels and tires are correct (except for the rally wheel in the trunk) that’s not correct but it looks cool. Undercarriage is rust free and clean. Exhaust sounds just right and is new.

Though this car would not be considered a trailer queen I would classify it to be a very nice go to show driver that could easly be a trailer queen. The instrument panel could use some restoration, as could the steering column. Radio does not work and the blinkers do not cancel. Paint has a few flaws here and there but I would have to point them out to you. You will not bedisappointed with this Road Runner especially for theprice I am willing to let it go for.

THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE A BUILD SHEET (I wish it did).

If you look closely at the pictures you will agree that my price is very fair for this car. I will also consider a reasonable offer close to this price. I have done my very best to describe this car and take good pictures for you to review.

I am happy to help you arrange shipping from Utah. Thanks for looking.

GOOD LUCK BIDDING
