1941 Packard Model 1905

This 1941 Packard Super Eight One-Sixty is a Series 1905 seven-passenger touring sedan, and it was sold new in Columbus, Ohio, in December 1940. It underwent a refurbishment under previous ownership and reportedly spent 12 years in a museum before it was purchased by the seller in 2023. The car is finished in black over matching leather upholstery, and power comes from a 356ci L-head straight-eight paired with a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Features include a cormorant hood ornament, rear-hinged rear doors, an AM radio, a heater, and rear jump seats. Service performed under the seller’s ownership reportedly included the installation of replacement brake seals, tires, and a battery as well as adjustments of the brakes and carburetor. This Nineteenth Series Packard was featured on the back cover of the 2024 Classic Car Club of America Florida Region member directory, and it is now offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.Nineteenth Series Packards were updated for 1941 with pontoon-style front fenders, integrated headlights, and shortened hood louvers that doubled as hood releases. Packard produced 3,525 examples of the Super Eight One-Sixty for the model year. This car was repainted black under previous ownership and features chrome bumpers with overriders, a cormorant hood ornament, running boards, rear-hinged rear doors, and a down-turned exhaust tip.Body-color steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with 16″ whitewall tires that were installed under the seller’s ownership. A spare wheel is stowed beneath a cover in the trunk. The model 1905 rode on a 148″ wheelbase and features a coil-sprung front suspension and a live rear axle with leaf springs.
