Description:

1970 Pontiac Grand Prix

Absolute Holy Grail 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J Coupe equipped with 3-speed manual transmission and fully documented. it also has Pontiacs Safe-T-Track rear with 3.23 gears. It was ordered new built for very high speeds! This is a documented factory manual transmission with killer performance options all confirmed by the PHS documents which are included with the car.It is an absolutely beautiful car throughout and comes from a long-term ownership. It is equipped with its original 400 cubic inch V-8 engine with original factory three speed manual transmission. This is an exceptionally rare and sought after setup. This Grand Prix Model J also is equipped with power steering, power disk front brakes with rear drums, 3:23 Safe-T-Track rear end, rally gauges with in-dash tach, finished in its original color of Bermuda Blue with blue interior, bucket seats with factory console, original sport steering wheel, factory 8-track tape player correctly located between seats, rally-2 wheels with BF Goodrich T/A radial tires, original build sheet and protecto-plate.This is about as well documented of an example you will find. Manual transmission equipped Grand Prixs almost never transact as owners are unwilling to sell them (I've only personally seen three others and one was a non-matching car). They are by far the most scarce and rare of the Grand Prix built, this one being one of only 171 ever built and likely a one of less than ten as equipped. This fully numbers matching Grand Prix Model J also has its original owners manual. This is an older restoration of a really nice solid car. The paint and trim are both very nice. The panel fit and gaps are excellent. The vinyl roof is also excellent with no indication of any rust underneath. The interior is in really nice shape. All of the original controls and switches are there and work perfectly. The roof liner is perfect and the original sport steering wheel is there as well which was an exceptionally rarely ordered feature on the performance GP's of the era.The floors are excellent with no rust or rust repair, The trunk is very tidy with spare and hack included. All of the glass appears to be the original and really nice condition.I keep coming back to the documentation as finding one that wasn't converted I think is a nearly impossible task. This on has everything with it that proves its authenticity and is ready for its next serious collector/owner.
