1937 International Harvester Other

1937 IHC International D2 like KB1 or 3100NO RESERVE!!
What a beautiful pickup! Fresh off the farm here in Central Kansas a very solid 1937 D2 International pickup. This one came from an estate of a gentleman that passed away, and I was lucky enough to buy several vehicles and tractors from this estate. This one, however, is the belle of the ball! It is amazingly well preserved for being tucked away on the farm all these years.
Once I got it back to the shop, I did the usual-I cleaned it up a little, put in some fresh spark plugs, fresh gas, and a battery. Checked all the fluids - and fired it up. This old pickup runs really nice, sounds good, doesn't overheat, etc. Although I added fresh gas, there was still some old gas in the tank, it burns it fine, but boy does it stink! There is no oil smoke, and no antifreeze smoke from the exhaust - but there is some old gas smoke. This truck has a four speed transmission that shifts fine, clutch seems to work fine. I added some brake fluid to the master cylinder, but the brakes do not work, so it will need at least a master cylinder. The hand brake does work so you can stop it. The tires hold air (one only for a few minutes) but are old and weathered - so I have not had it out on the road - but it drives fine in our yard.
Overall the body is very solid. It had carpet in the cab - so it did pit the floor, although there is very little rust through (just surface rust) anywhere on this truck. All the glass is in decent shape. It has a radio mounted under the seat - which I have never seen before - and it looks original. I did not get a tailgate for this pickup, but I have a later style tailgate that can go with if so desired. I think it could be modified to slide in the slots where they had boards, and look close to correct. I put this pickup on a lift and found the serial number stamped on the frame - D2-2556 - this truck will come with a good Kansas title and will be titled as a 1937 International with D2-2556 as the VIN number. Here is a link to a YouTube video of the pickup (https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=y-hKvYgJxLk&t=16s) or go to YouTube and search Cort's Old Trucks - 1937 IHC. Please call or text Cort @620-786-5172 if you have any questions - I love to talk about old trucks, and please check my feedback from lots of other old trucks. Also - I am fine with this staying here as long as needed - free of charge - while you arrange transport - as long as it is paid for. Thanks and Good Luck!
