1961 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Dymanic 88 Convertible

1961 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 convertible powered by the original 394 c.i. 250 horsepower V-8 and backed by its matching Hydromatic 3-speed automatic transmission. Total actual mileage is 140,000 and it was built in the Lansing Michigan plant.

It is not known when the current teal metallic lacquer paint was applied, but the original color was Glacier Blue. The interior was also changed from the factory light blue to a white vinyl you see pictured. For its age, it appears in fair condition.

The present owner has had it for about 7 years and has done the following to make it “road worthy”.

All the exterior lights and turn signals work except for the backup lights. The engine was treated to a rebuilt carburetor, basic tune up, new radiator, battery, and hoses. The Olds starts easily and idles well.

The original Hydromatic transmission was rebuilt and shifts smoothly. The power brake system had new shoes with hardware, wheel cylinders, and several brake lines replaced.

As you can see from the photos and video most of the original trim is intact, but shows its age, like the body. All the glass looks good, and the windows go up and down. The convertible top does not operate. Extra parts are included.
