Description:

1929 Oldsmobile Other

This car sat in a small garage for nearly 40 years and I had to wait over 20 years to buy it. Last registered in 1968 and taken off the road probably due to failure of the ring gear in the rear axle. Something fell on the cowl years ago and the previous owner disassembled the roof and primed a couple panels, then abandoned the project.

There is no title but I will provide a bill of sale (Ebay requires that we choose a title type so I listed salvage as the next best option).

Over time much of the body fell apart but the chassis was well preserved, so I'm selling the chassis as one lot and have some other body panels and parts listed separately. It would make a great speedster or pickup truck project.

As far as I know, this is a '29 Oldsmobile Model F-29. The motor turned by hand when I got the car and after soaking the cylinders with oil and cleaning some electrical connections, the engine started. It runs pretty decent with fuel poured in the carb bowl. Even the exhaust is still intact.

Motor holds water, doesn't overheat and even the temp gauge works. Carb body looks well preserved and isn't cracked or swollen. Linkage moves freely.

The trans shifts by hand but with the differential removed, the car obviously won't move under its own power. Front tires hold air, all 4 wheels roll but rear tires are shot.
Sheetmetal is largely rust free except for the passenger splash apron. Fenders are in great shape. Rear of frame has some loose rust but isn't heavily pitted. The cowl has a basketball sized dent in the driver side top. Sill wood is rotted and someone replaced the driver sill boards with newer wood.

Includes gas tank, gas tank cover, dash with gauges, taillight stand and drum, etc as shown.

Its located just east of Cincinnati in Amelia, zip 45102. We can assist with loading and have a large lot for transporter access. You're welcome to view by appointment.
